Lately I have been thinking about using a rb26dett for my new block. I don't know why, but the idea of around 650 rwhp has just been depressing to me. The Skyline uses a rb26, which can lay down major horsepower, so I figured why can't I have that too? Anyways, on my way to the shop in longwood, fl to get an estimate of the complete engine, the rb25dett tranny (which converts into rwd instead of awd), and installation. I think, is this really what I want to do? The old Z commerical played in my mine as I said "Hell No" and power turn (using the e break) back home to admire my vg30dett engine. A Z is a Z, if I want a rb26dett, I should have bought a skyline. That's the end of that. Man I don't know what I was thinking... That would be too much money, too much time away from my baby, and too many problems down the line. I bought my Z because of its engine. For all the people who want to do an engine swap into a Z, N/A or TT, stay true to what you are. A 300ZX
